A good example of a late Victorian, bovine horn sampler walking cane.
Each sample of horn mounted on an internal metal rod to produce the array of horn colours throughout the shaft. The base of the shaft finished with steel ferrule/collar.
The study of the elephant is carved from horn with what appears to be the original glass eyes.
Condition: Excellent condition throughout with very little wear. Free from horn breaks and a good straight line to the shaft. A superb cane to add more interest to a collection.
